The title makes it sound terrible – but sometimes you just have no choice but to run on a treadmill.
Its different. The scenery isn’t quite the same, and the ground moves. It is hard to lean forward to move forward as one would when runnng on ground. Treadmill running seemed like running in place, upright and strong, the focus on pulling.
I ran barefoot. I am going to make a concerted effort to improve my foot strength and ankle stability. I will do this through various exercises – 1 foot balances, and one foot calf raises.
I am going to try to run 4 times per week – 2 treadmill and 2 outside. Indoors = short. Outdoors = long.
Make running a priority – fit it in – even if it’s not your ideal distance because something is better hand nothing.
