The Night Before

One year after I signed up for the Lighthouse 100’s 50 miler I am in Petoskey getting ready for bed to get a good nights sleep in order to run 50 miles tomorrow.

I would be lying if I said I am not nervous. I am also excited.

My biggest worry is my right knee. My second fear is getting lost. And maybe my third is having to walk the whole thing and putting up a time I won’t be happy with.

For some reason I picked the arbitrary time of 10 hours that I want to finish in. My real goal is to cover the distance.

I have covered 60k, 80k is the next logical step.

I can do this.
